A moment of joy
“All those days that came and went, little did I know that they were life.” (quote from Stig Johansson)
This project was born from a feeling of being overwhelmed. Sometimes, everything feels like too much, whether it’s from personal struggles or issues in the world that hit close to home. But no matter how we feel, sad, happy, stressed, or calm, every day is life, all of it, even when it seems harsh or unfair. I wanted to show how important it is to have a way to let feelings out, good or bad, and to make a little time each day to just be present, even if only for a few moments.
Early on, I pictured the word “patience” on the wall, almost like a mantra. It became a reminder to myself as well, especially during challenging moments. Seeing it there reminded me to “practice what I preach.”
This project is my final piece at Hyper Island. I experimented a lot with MoCap and Rokoko Studio to optimize my workflow.
